Fought for Affordable Housing

  • Advocated for housing affordability throughout my career.

  • Championed zoning changes to allow Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) and greater flexibility for new housing options.

 

Fought Against Big Box Stores

  • Wrote a zoning ordiance that capped the size of new retail just below the smallest walmart and other big box stores. Kept a walmart from going where river valley market is today. 

 

Expanded Opportunities for Restaurants & Businesses

  • Introduced Easthampton’s first over-quota liquor licenses to attract new restaurants—and secured more after seeing their success.

  • Updated zoning to help small businesses like Captain Jack’s and Small Oven to open.

  • Supported Easthampton Savings Bank’s zoning change to allow a drive-through for their flagship branch.

Led on Cannabis Policy for Economic Growth

  • Wrote and championed one of the first medical cannabis ordinances.

  • Paved the way for legal cannabis businesses, generating millions in revenue for the city.

Brought Music & Culture to Our Community

  • Helped launch the Millpond Live concert series by connecting Laudable Productions with city partners to make it happen.

  • Supported and voted for the creation of the Cottage Street Cultural District.

Improved Parks, Trails & Public Spaces

  • Worked with mill owners to create Millside Park and complete a major project to pave behind the mills for better access.

  • Supported the Nashawannuck Pond boardwalk for improved recreation and tourism.

Invested in Our Schools

  • Supported and voted for a new high school and new K–8 school, ensuring Easthampton students have the facilities they deserve.

Revitalized Our Historic Mills

  • Worked with all the Pleasant and Ferry Street mill owners to support the rehab of the dilapidated mills and helped move redevelopment forward.

  • Secured partnerships and infrastructure improvements to make mill conversions successful for businesses and housing.
